Art Gallery
By the harbor is Ella Rósinkrans art gallery and workshop, probably the biggest privately owned gallery in Iceland about 350 square meters. Ella is one of the most celebrated glass artist of Iceland. She with other artists showing great collection of Icelandic lava and silver jewellery together with selection of her glass art.Coffee shop to be opening soon in the premises.

Swimming Pool
Well kept secret on the south cost. Hardly ever crowed with lovely 3 hot tubs with friendly staff that gives you  free coffee or juice while you are resting in the tubs.

Festivals
Many festivals are held in Stokkseyri such as Bryggjuhátíð (The Pier festival) 17- 20th of july and Færeyskir Fjölskyldudagar ( The Foroya Islands family festival) 31st of  July – 3rd of august.

The beach and birdlife the unusual lake-district in Stokkseyri is renowned for its beauty and diverse bird- and plant life. The beach is very popular site for hiking, bird watching and kayak rental. East of Stokkseyri is Knarrarósviti lighthouse, whose architectural design is interesting and worth to visit.

Kayak rental
Visitors can explore the nature by kayaking around the lakes and marshes with or without guidence.

The Alf and the Trolls Museum


The Ghost Centre
in Stokkseyri is a ghost museum that features all of Iceland’s most famous ghosts. The third floor of a 1000 square meter building is devoted to the tales of Iceland’s ghosts. The entrance is located on the south side of the building by the harbor.

The Hunting Museum is the only museum in Iceland that is dedicated to hunting and wildlife. The museum is not only established to entertain and inform the public but as a testament to ethical hunting, the right to hunt and to pass the skill of hunting on to future generations.

Töfragarðurinn in the family park you can find entertainment for all the family, there is Icelandic animals, everything from goats and pig to a full grown Icelandic horses with a foal. Playground with a castle and a big jumping bladder and many more activity for the children. Also you can see old Icelandic working tools from the 19th century.

The Seashore Restaurant
Specializes in Icelandic lobster.

The Old fish processing factory has found a new role due to changes in the fishing industry. There you find workshop of painters mosaic and ceramic artists. In the front of the factory is small house where the locals are selling everything from Icelandic sweaters to small lanterns.

Bus Service
Good bus service is to the nearby villages and the buses stops in the front of the guesthouse.  From Selfoss a coach station that you find coaches to all parts of Iceland.

Tourist information
Small tourist information is in the Art Gallery of Ella Rósinkrans. There you can find interesting leaflets and receive help to plan your day trips. The ER Art gallery is close to the harbor easy to locate normally open every day in the summer from 12.00 to 23.00 and weekends in the winter.
